Archie the cat was destined for Saudi Arabia but since there are quite a few import requirements and important documents to obtain for such a move – Archie spent two months with us in our onsite cattery.

Archie, a Maine coon cat, was a very relaxed resident on the farm – vocal at feeding times and super cuddly after with the staff looking at him at Flypets.

At only 6 months old, Archie easily adjusted to being in the cattery and took everything in his stride – his time in the cattery flew by.

Charlotte, Archies’ pet transport consultant had now managed to obtain all final import documents and has arranged for the final vet examination to be completed in the comfort of the cattery -this being done, it was nearly time for the departure date.

Archie was booked on a direct British Airways flight to Riyadh where our destination agent was ready and waiting for his arrival to complete the import customs clearance and finish his final part of the journey on our behalf.

Its flight day and now a  few hours before the flight so Archie is settled into the his spacious airline flight travel crate with his comfy vet bedding and fresh water.

Our driver, Georgia, from the transport team takes a short drive to British Airways Cargo at Heathrow ready for check in time. Archie is unfazed by how his day has started gives Georgia a quick glance to say ‘thank you for the lift’ and is taken off to be settled into the live animal waiting area until it’s time to be taken to the aircraft doors for take-off.

It doesn’t take long after the flight has landed for our agent to notify us of Archie’s safe arrival, they then complete the customs clearance and head out of the airport to get him to his final destination – just in time for dinner with his new family – Archie’s favourite time of the day!
